The mission of the Omicron Epsilon chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International is to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in a healthy community. Our vision is to create a community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the community.

The Clarkson College Omicron Epsilon chapter was selected as a recipient of the 2009 Chapter Key Award, which was established in 1991 to honor chapters who excel in chapter-related activities such as:

  • Membership recruitment and retention.
  • Publicity and programming.
  • Professional and leadership development.
  • Local, national and international collaboration.

Omicron Epsilon debuted at Clarkson College in 1986, when the dean of nursing became interested in having an honor society in nursing that would recognize those who had demonstrated superior academic performance and who had distinguished themselves as clinical scholars and leaders.
