Master of Science in Nursing
The Clarkson College Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares you for the demands expected of advanced nurses in today’s health care environment. Those who can function independently and collaboratively have tremendous opportunity to advance into roles directing, supervising and educating others in the delivery of excellent patient care.
The MSN program allows you to choose from five majors:
- Nursing Health Care Administration
- Nursing Education
- Adult–Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Nurse Anesthesia
Students can master the theories and skills necessary to be an executive in middle and upper management, or can choose to learn specialized content related to curriculum design, teaching methodologies and evaluation. As a graduate of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) program, you will be able to provide primary health care in family practice settings or other health care settings. After successful completion of the NP program, you will be eligible to sit for NP certification examinations.
Our online education program allows you the flexibility to complete a MSN degree or certificate on your own terms through a combination of online study and one-on-one work with faculty.
Note: MSN courses are offered entirely online with the exception of the Nurse Anesthesia option. Nurse Practitioner students complete minimal on-campus visits for competency validations. Contact the Graduate Nursing Program Director for current details.
The MSN program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
