Clarkson College is excited to launch Phase One of its migration from eCollege (the current online student learning management system) to Canvas—a more robust platform proven to offer students a user-friendly experience.
If you are a student enrolled in the Health Information Management, Medical Imaging, Radiological Technology or Physical Therapist Assistant programs, you will now access your courses in Canvas. Courses for all other academic programs, as well as General Education, will continue to be taught through eCollege during the spring semester.

What is Canvas?
Canvas is an intuitive learning management system that enhances teaching and learning on and off campus.
Why are we switching to Canvas?
To enhance the user experience by offering a more robust, efficient and easy-to-use online education platform.
After evaluating multiple learning management systems, the search committee decided that Canvas is the best fit for Clarkson College.
Where will my courses be located?
It depends. If you are a PTA, HIM, RT or Medical Imaging student, your program courses will be available in Canvas. You can access them via http://clarksoncollege.onelogin.com/.
All other courses will be offered via eCollege during the spring 2017 semester.
Do I need to use two learning management systems?
Only if you are a student in the programs included in a current implementation phase. For example, all General Education courses will only accessible via eCollege during implementation phases one and two.
Who do I contact if I have any issues with my courses?
If your course is hosted in Canvas, you will use the Help button available on the bottom-left corner of your course to submit a ticket. If your course is hosted in eCollege, you will access support by clicking on the Tech Support link available on the top-right corner of every course.
Support is available 24/7/365.
Why is my program not included in implementation phase one?
It is best practice to begin with a small number of courses during implementation Phase One, in order to ensure the learning management system is functioning correctly.
When will my program be offered on Canvas?
Here is our implementation timeline:
Phase One (Spring 2017): RT, MI, PTA, HIM
Phase Two (Summer 2017): Business, Graduate Business, Doctoral, Graduate Nursing, and Nurse Anesthesia.
Phase Three (Fall 2017): General Education and Undergraduate Nursing
When will all courses be offered on Canvas?
All courses will be taught on Canvas in the 2017 fall term.
