2021 Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing and Clarkson College Alumni Weekend

Each fall, the Clarkson College Alumni Association hosts Alumni Weekend, a two-day celebration for the Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing and Clarkson College alumni to gather, reminisce and celebrate together.  The event scheduled for September 23-24 will honor the classes of 1971 (50 years), 1981 (40 years), and 1996 (25 years), as well as celebrate 25 years of graduates from the Physical Therapist Assistant program and the Clarkson College Student Government Association.

Monday, September 20

Clarkson College Legacy Series

5–6:30 p.m.

The inaugural Clarkson College Legacy Series featuring keynote speakers, Mr. Bruce Lauritzen and Bishop J. Scott Barker. Mr. Lauritzen, the great-great-great-grandson of Bishop Robert H. and Meliora Clarkson, will speak about their role in helping to establish Omaha and Clarkson College. Bishop Barker, Bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska, will speak to our connection to the Church. Refreshments will be available following the presentation.

Tuesday, September 21

Spirit Week Movie Night
Clarkson College
7–10 p.m.

Join the students and employees of Clarkson College for a movie night. All guests are invited to bring their family and friends to gather and enjoy a fun evening. Movie is TBD.

Thursday, September 23

Alumni Brunch
Howard Hall 
10–11:30 a.m.

All alumni are invited to gather for brunch and connect with Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing and Clarkson College graduates. Since we were not able to meet in 2020, we will celebrate the 25, 40 and 50-year graduates of the classes of 1995/1996, 1980/1981, and 1970/1971. Alumni will hear from the Alumni Association and Clarkson College leadership.

Clarkson Service League Heritage Garden

Join Clarkson College employees, students and dignitaries as we celebrate the history of Clarkson College. The annual ceremony includes the dedication of new bricks, announcement of Mr. and Ms. Clarkson and words from selected speakers.

Alumni Networking Happy Hour

Alumni are invited to gather for an evening of camaraderie and networking. The Alumni Association will provide one drink ticket per alumni member. 

Friday, September 24

Continuing Education Event
Howard Hall & Zoom
8 a.m.–12 p.m.


The continuing education event, “Ethics Beyond Clinical that Impact Health Care”, will feature presenters providing valuable information for all health care providers. Attendees can join through Zoom or in-person.

Students attendance is $10, alumni member attendance is $25 and all other attendees are $45.


Alumni Dinner
Cottonwood Hotel, 302 S. 36th St, Omaha, NE
5:30–8 p.m.

All alumni are invited to gather for dinner and cocktails as we celebrate Clarkson College. During the evening, we will recognize 25 years of Physical Therapist Assistant graduates, 25 years of the Student Government Association, and the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award recipients.
