Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. This commitment to excellence has and always will remain a defining quality of Clarkson College.

Alumni

Each fall, the Clarkson College Alumni Association hosts Alumni Weekend, a two-day celebration for the Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing and Clarkson College alumni to gather, reminisce and celebrate together. The event, scheduled for September 29-30, will honor the classes of 1962, 1972, 1982, 1992 and 1997, as well as celebrate 35 years of our College Board of Directors, 35 years since Dr. Patricia Perry was named our first president, and 30 years of Clarkson College at our current location of 42nd and Dodge Streets.

Thursday, September 29

Alumni Brunch
Howard Hall
10–11:30 a.m.

All alumni are invited to gather for brunch and connect with Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing and Clarkson College graduates. We will celebrate the 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60-year graduates of the classes of 1997, 1992, 1982, 1972 and 1962. Attendees will hear from the Alumni Association and Clarkson College leadership.

Heritage Garden Walk
Clarkson Service League Heritage Garden
1–1:30 p.m.

Join Clarkson College employees, students and dignitaries as we celebrate the history of Clarkson College. The annual ceremony includes the dedication of new bricks, announcement of Mr. and Ms. Clarkson and words from selected speakers.

Alumni Networking Happy Hour

Alumni are invited to gather for an evening of camaraderie and networking.

Friday, September 30

Continuing Education Event
Howard Hall & Zoom
8 a.m.–12 p.m.

The continuing education event, “Who is Taking Care of You? Strategies for Health Care and Community Professionals’ Wellbeing” will feature presenters providing valuable information for all health care providers. Attendees can join through Zoom or in person.

Student attendance is $10, alumni member attendance is $25, and all other attendees are $45.

Alumni Dinner

6–9 p.m.

All alumni are invited to gather for dinner and cocktails as we celebrate Clarkson College. During the evening, we will recognize 35 years of our College Board of Directors, 35 years since Dr. Patricia Perry was named our first president, and 30 years of Clarkson College at our current location of 42nd and Dodge Streets.
