Nurse Faculty Loan Program

Nurses enrolled in the Ed.D. program option are eligible for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP), which aims to increase the number of trained nurse educators.

  • Upon completion of four consecutive years of teaching following graduation, nurses will receive up to 85% loan forgiveness
  • NFLP covers the cost of tuition, fees and books while students are enrolled full- or part-time
  • Careers in nursing education offer more flexibility than a clinical work setting
  • Nurses can explore leadership opportunities in the field and advance in the nursing profession

Program Overview

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Healthcare Education and Leadership option allows you to advance in your career as a health care educator, administrator, practitioner or researcher. Students can complete the 16-18 credit hour Post-Graduate Certificate in Leadership on its own or apply it toward your Ed.D. degree.

  • Dissertation process is completed as part of the curriculum and allows you to explore original applied research of your choice
