Brown’s Medical Imaging Radiography & Medical Imaging Scholarship

Purpose of the Award

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Omaha, Neb., Brown’s Medical Imaging (BMI) is a family-owned and operated company specializing in the sales and service of medical imaging equipment for over 25 years. They currently have 12 shareholders, 150 employees, and no public or private equity ownership.

As a commitment to the profession, BMI supports Clarkson College students through an annual scholarship of $1,000 for one student in the Radiography program option and one student in the Medical Imaging program option. 

Selection Criteria (Academic Year 2021-2022)

To be considered for the Brown’s Medical Imaging scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in Radiography or Medical Imaging program option 
  • Demonstrate financial need (determined by current FAFSA)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5

Nomination Information

Applications for the Brown’s Medical Imaging Scholarships will be accepted during the annual Endowed Scholarship Application window, with applications closing in early February. After the submission deadline, the Endowed Scholarship Committee will select the most qualified candidates based on scholarship scoring rubric, Essay Questions, GPA, Financial Need, Resume and Grammar & Spelling.

For the 2022-2023 academic year, the application deadline is Friday, Feb. 15, 2022. The scholarship recipients will be selected by an ad-hoc committee of Director of Institutional Advancement and Communications, Director of Radiography and Medical Imaging, and faculty of the Radiography and Medical Imaging program.
