Manage Your Financial Aid
Federal verification is a process to confirm information you provided on the FAFSA, along with information about your household and income or expenses. It is a review process mandated by the federal government to check the accuracy of information reported on financial aid documents submitted by students and their families. Students are randomly selected for federal verification at the time that they complete the FAFSA.
If you are selected for financial aid verification, you will receive an e-mail notifying you of any additional items you may need to submit, as well as where you can find the forms needed to complete your file. Promptly complete and submit any outstanding forms, documents and missing information, as financial aid processing can only continue once you have submitted all requested information and materials.
Clarkson College requires your Social Security Number (SSN) to process your FAFSA application. Contact the Enrollment and Advising Office to assist with obtaining your SSN if needed.
Upon review and completion of your financial aid package, you will be notified via your Clarkson email that you have a financial aid offer available for review in MyCC, the Clarkson College online financial aid system, where you will be able to:
- View your financial aid awards and accept them online.
- Check the status of your financial aid.
- View a list of documents we've received from you and a list of the documents still outstanding.
We encourage you to monitor your MyCC profile regularly for updates regarding your financial aid status.
Financial aid funds are disbursed (credited) to your students tuition account with Clarkson College. Students may view disbursements through MyCC.
